SPOTTER
They will work with TV Production. They will need to be available for all 4 days, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
A good understanding/speaking of English is required, as well as the knowledge of the game and of the Rules of Etiquette.
MAINBOARD – LEADERBOARDS

They will be equipped with a palmtop device where they will get the players’ scores; they will manually update them on the boards. Boards will be placed on platforms.
Knowledge of English is required.
CARRY BOARD
The marshals will have to carry a board where they will update the scores of the match for the 18 holes.

FORECADDIES
They will be placed in strategic positions on the course, and will assist the players in locating the landing area of the ball, in case the player or his caddie cannot find it.
They will also have to alert the players (with a hand held board) when the green is empty in order to let them play their second shot.
TEE GROUND MARSHALS HOLE N. 1 AND N. 10

They will be in charge of delivering and recollecting the caddie bibs at holes n. 1, 9, 10 and 18. They will work in teams of two and will have to bring back the bibs to the Volounteers Office.
It is sometimes considered necessary to have marshals travelling with a particular group of players. They must be sure that the galleries stay out of ropes, do not take any photographs, do not speak on their phones and have them in a silent mode; they must stop when the game is going on and watch the players quietly.
The marshals must stay inside of the ropes, but they must NOT enter the golf course, and should always face the audience. They will have to curl up when the players are playing to let the audience see the game clearly.

When the matches are very crowded, there will be more than one marshal and they will have to be distant from each other: one will be ahead, one in the middle and one at the bottom so that they can have a total control of the galleries.
The marshals in charge of the crowd control will be provided with a hand held board for silence; they will have to raise it when they want the galleries to watch it and pay attention to it.
